WINONA, Minn. — Six members of the Saint Mary's women's soccer team, Lauryn Skoruppa (Littleton, Colo.), Malerie Williams (Osseo, Minn.), Samantha Munson (Plain City, Utah), Lauren Fields (Vail, Ariz.), Kaelyn Clasen (Kent, Wash.), and Anna Peckosh (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the organization announced Tuesday, Nov. 25.
To earn CSC Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least sophomores, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet sport-specific athletic participation criteria.
All six senior Cardinals are receiving CSC honors for the first time in their careers.
Skoruppa, the team's dynamic forward, caps her record-setting season with her first CSC nod. She led both Saint Mary's and the MIAC with 16 goals, totaled 27 points, added five assists, and earned her second straight All-Conference selection. The Biology and Nursing major started all 19 games.
Williams, a cornerstone of the Cardinals defense and team captain, started 16 games while battling injuries and helped anchor a backline that finished fourth in the MIAC in goals allowed at under one per game. The Biology and Pre-Med major also collected Honorable Mention All-MIAC recognition.
Munson, another offensive force, ranked second on the team with 10 goals and five assists. She set a new program record with six game-winning goals, surpassing Skoruppa's previous mark, and earned All-Conference honors. The Biology and Pre-Physical Therapy major finished with 25 points across 18 games.
Fields was the steady presence in the midfield, starting all 19 games and tallying four assists. The Biology and Pre-Physical Therapy major played a vital two-way role, helping stabilize the defense and spark transitions forward.
Clasen, also a midfield mainstay, appeared in all 19 contests and served as a key facilitator. The Pre-Med major contributed a goal while driving the team's possession and offensive flow.
Peckosh anchored the Cardinals in net, starting 16 games and posting eight wins, five shutouts, and 52 saves. The Biology and Nursing major ranked sixth in the conference in shutouts while facing 135 shots.
The Cardinals advanced to the MIAC Playoffs for the second straight season, earning the No. 6 seed before falling in the opening round. They closed the year with a 10–6–3 overall record and a 4–3–3 mark in conference play.
