WINONA, Minn. — Saint Mary's (1-4-0, 0-2) couldn't break through against No.12-ranked Hamline (4-0-0, 2-0) on Saturday, falling 5–0 at home despite generating plenty of offensive chances. The Cardinals outshot the Pipers 29–28, but Hamline's goaltender turned away every attempt to secure the shutout. 

Celeste Rimstad made 23 saves while facing a steady Hamline attack.

The opening period saw the Cardinals controlling the puck early and generating good looks, including shots from Reese Heitzman and Celia Midtbo, but Hamline's goaltender stood tall. The Cardinals earned two power-play opportunities, yet the Pipers held firm, sending the game into the first intermission scoreless.

Hamline broke through in the second period, striking three times, including a power-play tally that opened the scoring. Goals at 16:39 and 12:46 put the Pipers ahead 2–0, and a late power-play goal stretched the deficit to 3–0 despite several solid stops from Rimstad.

The third period brought more pressure from Hamline, who added another power-play goal just seconds into the frame. Though Saint Mary's created multiple looks from Sophia Paduano, Destinee Hoffmann, and others, they couldn't solve the Hamline goaltending. 

A final even-strength goal at 9:40 sealed the 5–0 result.

Saint Mary's will regroup as they move forward in conference play and travel to St. Catherine on Friday, November 21 for a 7:00 p.m. put drop.
