WINONA, Minn. - In a match that was bumped up due to weather, the Saint Mary's women's tennis team (6-1) fought through and claimed another home victory over the strong visiting Edgewood College Eagles (13-2), 5-2.
 
The Cardinals extend their win streak to six, remaining undefeated in 2025 and at home.
 
Two doubles teams earned victories, setting the tone for a positive start to the match.
 
Elena Ruzevich dominated her opponent in a 6-0 first set. Despite a tighter 6-4 second set, she ultimately secured the victory for her team.
 
The Cardinals gave it their all, as 
Emily Dondelinger and 
Harsha Gangasani earned dominant wins at home, conceding just three total set points each.
 
Saint Mary's handed Edgewood just their second loss of the year and are national contenders with their 13-2 record.
 
The team has to dig deep tomorrow as they face No. 22-ranked Gustavus at Gustavus tomorrow and top of the conference opponent Carleton all in one day tomorrow starting at 3:30 p.m.
