COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - It was another busy day for the Cardinals Track and Field team, as they headed to Saint John's University for their second-to-last regular competition before the conference meet.

In the 60m dash,
Ryan Cramer continued to make a statement, posting sixth at the meet with a time 7.06 seconds. Ben Krisberg, just behind him in seventh, finished in 7.13 seconds.
Samantha Munson performed well for the women, finishing eighth with a time of 8.10 seconds.

Isaiah Fitzgerald kicked off the distance team in the 5000m, finishing in first place with a time of 16:10.57, over 30 seconds ahead of the next finisher.
Cade Kloss ran a phenomenal race as well in his 600m race, boasting a time of 1:27.89 to nab both eighth place overall and a new personal best time. In the 800m, Goi Rui finished seventh with a time of 2:05.83.
Sean Smyth, in the 3000m crossed the line in 9:13.32, supporting both a new PR and eighth place. For the women,
Mya Slavin, fresh off competing in the mile at the Mankato meet yesterday, still managed an impressive 3:08.37 finish in her heat of the 1000m, finishing in fourth as well as claiming a new title of fourth best time in Saint Mary's women's history in the indoor 1000m race.Â

The Cardinals posted some impressive marks off the track today as well. In the triple jump,
Ameryn Dostal finished fifth with a hop skip and jump of 10.04m. In the pole vault,
Xara Gin was able to vault to new heights, clearing 3.07m, a new personal best that claimed her sixth at the invitational. In the shot put,
Sydney Jackman threw 12.44m and placed fourth, and moved up to sixth all time for the Saint Mary's women in the shot put. In the weight throw,
Anna Becker (fourth) threw 15.48m and moved into the third all-time spot, while
Morgan Wallendal (fifth) threw 15.05m and moved up to sixth all time for the SMU women.
Casen Fritz also threw the weight and managed an impressive fourth place finish, launching the weight 15.82m

Relays

The men's 4x400m relay, with
Eddie Paton,
Cade Kloss,
Zander Olmschenk, and Goi Rui, finished third with a time of 3:37.06. The women's team, with Abbie Meye,
Megan Frosch,
Katherine Goergen, and
Mya Slavin, finished seventh with a time of 4:44.29.

The team also had a mens and womens 4x200m team competing at the invitational, with the men's team (
Brady Johnson,
Ben Kritsberg,
Ryan Cramer, and
Oliver Adamson) finishing fourth with a time of 1:32.24. This time boosted the group up to eighth all-time in school history. The women's team, with
Xara Gin,
Zari Young,
Melissa Torres, and
Samantha Munson finished in 1:48.77, boasting a third place finish overall as well as moving up to third all time in Saint Mary's history!

The Cardinals will return to compete again on Friday, February 21 at the University of Minnesota Mankato to compete at the Maverick Invitational!
