SMU Tennis Teams Claim Back-to-Back 7-0 Victories

WINONA, Minn. - On Friday evening, the Saint Mary's tennis teams extended their home stretch by hosting Crown College for a non-conference match. Both teams secured dominant 7-0 victories over the Polars.

MEN

The Cardinals got off to a strong start, with each doubles team securing commanding victories before carrying that momentum into their singles matches.
Doubles teammates Evan Huemoller and Gavin Pratt allowed just one point in their match.

Tucker Stene, Michael Johnson, and Phil Apel each surrendered just one point in their respective singles matchups, securing wins.

Huemoeller allowed only two points.

They brought the energy, leading to a second consecutive 7-0 victory at home.

WOMEN

Similar to the men, the women's doubles got off to a great start sweeping the Polars in that category to get off on the right foot. 

Doubles teammates Emily Dondelinger and Olivia Molumby did not concede a single match point in the opening match.

Alli Laux is still undefeated as a Cardinals and is yet to allow a point for her opponent marking two perfect matches. 

Elena Ruzevich and Dondelinger both delivered outstanding performances, each allowing no points in dominant 6-0, 6-0 victories against their Polar opponents.

Harsha Gangasani allowed just two points.

The women's tennis team is on a role with their fourth straight win!

Each Cardinal tennis player that played today added a win to their resume. 

The team is back in action tomorrow as they travel to Dubuque, Iowa to take on the Spartans in another non-conference match at 2 p.m.
