MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Saint Mary's men's tennis team (4-9, 0-4) came up empty in MIAC play on Friday, falling 7-0 to Concordia-Moorhead.
The Cobbers took control early, sweeping all three doubles matches to grab a 1-0 lead heading into singles competition. The Cardinals' closest doubles contest came at No. 2, where Zak Farley and Paul Havemeier battled before falling 6-3.
In singles play, Concordia-Moorhead continued its momentum, winning all six matches to secure the sweep. Gavin Pratt's match at No. 1 was cut short due to opponent retirement, while several Cardinals competed in tightly contested sets throughout the lineup.
Despite the final score, Saint Mary's showed fight across multiple courts, with competitive efforts from Kanyon Hicks at No. 4 and Travis Elsner at No. 6.
Saint Mary's returns to action as they continue MIAC play in Winona against Gustavus on Saturday, Mar. 28.
