GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Saint Mary's baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, as announced on Wednesday.

It is the ninth time in the last 11 seasons that the Cardinals earned this prestigious award. The team was one of 196 NCAA Division III programs across 800 collegiate and high school programs to meet the minimum 3.0 cumulative team GPA requirement to earn the honor.

The Cardinals finished the season by falling in the MIAC Baseball playoff tournament with a 25-17 overall record.

The Cardinals finished the impressive 2026 season with a .982 fielding percentage, leading all of NCAA Division III Baseball for the first time in program history.
