Farley Earns a Point as the Cardinals Fall to Vikings

MANKATO, Minn. – It was the perfect day for tennis to return. The Saint Mary's men's tennis team (0-1) opened up the 2026-27 season at Bethany Lutheran (1-0), where they dropped a tough match up, 6-1. 

Doubles action played to close matches.

Gavin Pratt and Drake Wonderling played to a close 7-5 match before falling, and the number two doubles team of Charles Simon and Tegan Schott played to the same 7-5 score. 

Zak Farley picked up the solo point for the Cardinals in singles play, defeating his Vikings opponent 6-3, 7-5. 

Charles ran into extra points as he fell at number four singles after the break point. 

Looking Ahead

The Cardinals' home opener and conference opener is slated for tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. as they host Macalester College at 2:30 p.m. at the Winona Tennis Center.
