WINONA, Minn. – The home opener and the conference opener for the Saint Mary's men's tennis team did not go as planned, as they fell 7-0 to the Scots.
The Cardinals (0-2) battled a tough Macalester (2-0) squad Sunday afternoon to finish their opening weekend.
Michael Johnson and Kanyon Hicks played the tightest match of the day, heading into a tiebreak in doubles.
Looking Ahead
The team will regroup before heading to St. Peter, Minn., for the prestigious ITA tournament, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus, the first weekend of October. Opponents are soon to be selected. Â
