WINONA, Minn. – The Saint Mary's women's tennis team hosted Macalester for their first conference match of the season. The Cardinals battled the Scots closely, just falling short 4-3.
The Cardinals earned the doubles point with wins from Elena Ruzevich, Emily Dondelinger, Aheli Patel, and Olivia Molumby.
Molumby earned the singles win as well to go 2-0 on the day in a tightly contested match, 7-5, 7-5. Taylor DePover earned a dominant win in her singles debut, 6-3, 6-0.
Looking Ahead
The team will regroup before heading to St. Peter, Minn., for the prestigious ITA tournament, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus, on the final weekend of September. Opponents are soon to be selected. Â
