MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Under the lights, the Saint Mary's men's soccer team (0-5-1, 0-2-0) battled a regionally ranked Augsburg Auggies (2-0-4,1-0-1) team, falling 7-0 Tuesday night.
The Cardinals started with a burst of energy.
Around the 15-minute mark, the Cardinals had their two best chances to take a lead with great looks by Gio Barren and Caleb Gilbert.
At the 17-minute mark, the Auggies took a 1-0 and took that lead heading into halftime.
The second half was all Auggies, and they exploded for six goals.
Looking Ahead
The Cardinals need to have a short memory as they have a game they need to prepare for their matchup tomorrow. The squad will travel to Coe College tomorrow night for a 7:00 p.m. nonconference matchup.
