WINONA, Minn. – In what was playing out to be a big senior day win, the Saint Mary's men's soccer team (0-7-1, 0-3-0) fell to the St. Scholastica Saints (3-5-0, 2-1-0) 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The energy was high for the Cardinals after Than Soe scored his first of the season from a perfect slot pass by Francesco Cardone to lead 1-0 after 10 minutes of action.
The second half was a different story. The Saints tied the match just a minute into the match, and the game began to unravel for the Cardinals. They could not turn their 13 shots into a goal as the Saints converted their 13 shots for one more goal at the 51-minute mark to win 2-1.
Cardone had two shots on goal for the next best looks. Gio Barron and Diego Giles each had looks of their own.

The team will travel to UW-Stout on Monday, Sept. 28, for a 7:00 p.m. nonconference matchup.
