Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Pray Nets Two in Cardinals MIAC Win

WINONA, Minn. – It was a perfect day for a conference victory! The Saint Mary's women's soccer team (2-5-1, 1-2-0) earned their first conference victory at home versus St. Scholastica (3-6-0, 0-3-0) Saturday afternoon. 

Despite finding themselves trailing 1-0, the team was led by a burst from Makayla Clow, assisted by Ayshia Gay and Anna Warnecke, scoring with just seconds left in the first half to give the Cardinals the momentum they needed to finish this game. 

Two minutes into the second half, pressure by Kaylen Pray on the Saints goalkeeper scored the game-winning goal for her first of the season.

She was not done when Sarah Ringland sent in a cross for Pray to get a piece of it to finish the game 3-1. 

The Cardinals got their much-needed win today at the Oak with a dominant showing of resilience and pressure.

The Cardinals outshot the Saints 18-10.

In goal, Peyton Bremer made four saves for the team.

Looking Ahead

It is another quick turnaround for the Cardinals as they are set to travel to Buena Vista tomorrow, Sept. 27, for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
