Assimos dished out 81 assists in the Cardinals' two matches last week, helping lead SMU to back-to-back wins over St. Olaf and Gustavus — and launch the Cardinals into the MIAC post-season tournament for the first time since 2010.

Assimos started the week with 42 assists against St. Olaf last Wednesday, then followed that up with 39 helpers against the Gusties on Saturday. With her 81 assists, Assimos pushed her single-season career-high to 1,105 assists and also moved the senior setter past Brittany Cherwinka and into the No. 2 spot all-time with 3,171 assists.

Assimos has now recorded 40 or more assists 11 times this season and 31 times in her collegiate career.
