Gearin certainly turned more than a few heads in her first MIAC Outdoor Championships, capturing one individual conference crowns, while also adding a pair of second-place effort in leading the Cardinal women to a seventh-place team finish — their highest placing in program history.

Gearin blew away the rest of the field to win the pole vault conference title, clearing 3.53 meters. The freshman narrowly missed running to title No. 2 in the 400, finishing second to Bethel’s Hannah Sankey with a time of 57.82, before teaming with Anna Swanson (Osceola, Wis.), Sydney Klausler (Lakeville, Minn.) and Mirijana Ganley record a second-place time of 4:01.24 in the 4x400 relay.
