Steffes turned more than a few heads in her collegiate debut for the Saint Mary’s fastpitch softball team last weekend, hitting .615, with eight hits in 13 at-bats — including a double and a triple — with five runs scored and a pair of RBIs. She also finished 2-0 with a 1.32 ERA in 13 2/3 innings in the pitcher’s circle.
