Last Action: The Cardinals come into today's season finale having been off since a 5-1 loss to UW-Stout on Oct. 23. … Bethel, meanwhile, has also been off for the past week, and enter today's game having dropped a 2-1 heartbreaker to Concordia, losing in the game's final minute.

Last Meeting: It took 28 games, but the Cardinals finally posted their first tie of the season when they squared off against Bethel in the teams' regular-season final a year ago. SMU's Mariana Sanchez (Puebla, Mexico) and Bethel's Charli Sorensen were unbeatable in goal, as the teams battled to a 0-0 tie.

All-Time Series Record: Last year's 0-0 tie was the first time in the team's all-time series, a series in which SMU holds an 11-3-1 record since 1983.

Cardinal Notes: The Cardinals' loss to UW-Stout on Oct. 23, snapped their six-game nonconference winning streak. Royal Notes: Bethel's 2-1 loss to Concordia last Saturday snapped the Royals' three-game unbeaten streak (2-0-1). … Esther Sowles scored the Royals' lone goal vs. Concordia, giving her nine goals for the season and 27 in her four-year career, just four shy of the Bethel career record with one game remaining. … Sowles and Sophie Christiansen share the team lead in goals (9), while Christiansen also boasts team highs in assists (10) and points (28). … Bethel's 38 goals have come from 11 different players. … GK Charli Sorensen has appeared in all 16 games, boasting a 1.52 goals-against-average and an .831 save percentage. … The Royals have outscored their opponents 22-7 in the first half. … Bethel has been shut out six times — including two 0-0 ties — and has scored just three goals in its seven losses. … After opening the season with a six-game winning streak, the Royals have gone 2-7-2 in their last 11 games.
