The Cardinals held the high-scoring Gusties to their fourth-lowest offensive output of the season. … The Cardinals' 70-65 overtime win over Macalester on Jan. 21 completed the Cardinals' season sweep of the Scots, and snapped a two-game losing streak. … The Cardinals' win over the Scots was also their first overtime game since the 2002-03 season, when SMU lost to UST 65-62. SMU's last overtime win came on Dec. 6, 2000, when the Cardinals posted an 80-70 win over St. Olaf. …
