ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Saint Mary's University men's hockey team, coming off its first win of the season — a 3-1 decision over Concordia on Saturday — return to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday, traveling to Hamline for a 7 p.m. contest vs. the Pipers at Drake Arena.

Saint Mary's Cardinal Notes: SMU's 3-1 win over Concordia Saturday snapped the Cardinals' season-opening five-game winning streak. … After being held without a goal in the Cardinals' first four games, Eric Tenvoorde (St. Cloud, Minn.) scored once in each of SMU's games vs. Concordia last weekend. … Morgan Shepherd (Brainerd, Minn.) extended his point streak to three straight with his second goal of the season Friday vs. Concordia.
