WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's soccer team, coming off its fourth straight victory — a 5-0 win over UW-Superior on Sunday, kicks off its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season Tuesday, hosting Bethel in a 5 p.m. contest at Ochrymowycz Field.

Last Action: The Cardinals got four goals from Amy Sibik (Onalaska, Wis.) and a three-assist effort by Caitlyn Cole (Winnecone, Wis.) en route to a 5-0 nonconference victory over UW-Superior Sunday afternoon. SMU Cardinal Notes: Amy Sibik (Onalaska, Wis.), who has led the Cardinals in scoring in each of her first two seasons, erupted for four goals vs. the Yellowjackets Sunday. Sibik has now scored at least one goal in each of SMU's four games, including her first collegiate hat trick vs. Central-Iowa on Sept. 5 and her first-ever four-goal game vs. Superior. … With Saturday's effort, Sibik now has seven multiple-goal games in her Cardinal career. … Sibik's nine goals this year give her 29 for her three-year career, ranking the SMU junior seventh all-time. … Caitlyn Cole (Winnecone, Wis.) put together her first collegiate multiple-assist performance vs. UW-Superior, assisting on three of the Cardinals' five goals. Sanchez has now stopped six of the seven shots she's faced thus far this season, compiling a 0.35 goals-against-average and an .857 save percentage. … With their season-opening four nonconference wins, the Cardinals improved to 32-2-1 in their last 35 non-league contests — with both losses coming against UW-Stout. SMU is now 32-5-2 in nonconference play since the start of the 2004 season. … All three goals scored vs. the Cardinals have come in the second half.
