WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's soccer team, coming off a conference-opening 0-0 tie against Bethel on Tuesday, is back in conference play Saturday, hosting Carleton in a 1 p.m. MIAC contest at Ochrymowycz Field.

Sibik, who has led the Cardinals in scoring in each of her first two seasons, had entered Tuesday's game having scored at least one goal in each of SMU's' first four games — including a career-best four goals vs. UW-Superior last Sunday. … Sibik boast seven multiple-goal games in her Cardinal career. … Sibik's nine goals this year give her 29 for her three-year career, ranking the SMU junior seventh all-time. … After stopping eight shots in her first four starts — combined — Mariana Sanchez (Puebla, Mexico) stopped a career-high 13 shots vs. the Royals on Tuesday. … Sanchez now boasts a 0.20 goals-against-average and a .955 save percentage and has not given up a goal since Simpson's Katherine Bird scored with 11 minutes remaining in regulation in SMU's season-opening 2-1 win — a span of 376:25 scoreless minutes. … Caitlyn Cole (Larsen, Wis.) put together her first collegiate multiple-assist performance vs. UW-Superior last Sunday, assisting on three of the Cardinals' five goals.
