WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's soccer team, coming off a huge, streak-snapping 1-0 conference win over Macalester on Saturday at Ochrymowycz Field, is back in action — and back on their home turf — as the Cardinals host St. Olaf in a 6 p.m. MIAC game.

Saturday's win over Macalester — which snapped a 14-game winless streak against the Scots that dated by to a 1-0 victory in 1995 — was the third streak-snapping performance by the Cardinals. On Wed., Sept. 29, the Cardinals put an end to a three-game losing streak against Gustavus, handing the Gusties a 1-0 setback. And three days later, SMU battled league-leading Concordia to a 0-0 conference tie, ending an 11-game losing streak against the Cobbers that dated back to a 2-1 Cardinal victory during the 1998 season. … Saturday's win also improved the Cardinals to 5-0-1 on their home turf this season. Eleven of the Cardinals' 15 wins over the past two seasons have come at home. … All six of SMU's wins — not to mention its lone tie ¬— have all been by shutout. …
Cassie Hulett (Milwaukee, Wis.) posted her second straight 10-save effort against Macalester Saturday en route to her league-leading sixth shutout. … Hulett, the reigning MIAC Player of the Week — who has not allowed a goal in more than 310 minutes — enters today's game vs. St. Olaf with a 1.03 goals-against-average and an .854 save percentage. …
