ST. PETER, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University baseball, which stepped out of conference play to take on UW-La Crosse in a nine-inning nonconference contest at Max Molock Field on Friday, hits the road on Saturday, traveling to Gustavus for a 1 p.m. Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader against the Gusties.

The Teams:
Saint Mary's Cardinals: 1-3 MIAC / 8-15 Overall
Gustavus Gusties: 0-2 MIAC / 7-9 Overall

Last Action:
The Cardinals got off on the wrong foot against UW-La Crosse and never recovered, as the Eagles scored in six of the game's nine innings in handing SMU a 16-6 nonconference setback Friday at Max Molock Field . Gustavus, meanwhile, dropped both ends of its conference doubleheader at St. Olaf on Wednesday, falling 7-3 in the opener and 3-2 in the nightcap in Northfield, Minn.
Last Meeting  April 2, 2009:

The Cardinals couldn't get the lead in Game 1, and they couldn't hold the lead in Game 2, as Gustavus swept the Cardinals 6-0 and 6-5 in eight innings at Max Molock Field.
