MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — With Miranda Halling (Rochester, Minn.) stopping everything Augsburg threw at her, the Saint Mary's University women's soccer team gave the Auggies all they could handle Saturday afternoon.

In fact, through the game's first 81 minutes, the Cardinals appeared like they may rain on the Auggies' playoff parade, as the two teams were locked in a scoreless battle.

Unfortunately for SMU, in a blink of an eye — 32 seconds to be exact — Augsburg scored two goals to hand the Cardinals a 2-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference setback at Edor Nelson Field.

Bri Dorale broke the 0-0 deadlock with her third goal of the season at 81:54, and 32 seconds later Marle Fitzgerald beat Halling to seal the win — and lock up one of the four MIAC Tournament berths.

Halling finished with 12 saves for the Cardinals, giving the Cardinal sophomore a conference-leading 145 saves this season. It was also the sixth time this season Halling finished with 10 or more saves in a game.
