WEST SALEM, Wis. — The Saint Mary's University men's and women's cross country teams hit the road on Saturday, traveling to the Maple Grove Golf Course to take part in the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitationals.

Aaron Haley (Plainview, Minn.) clocked an eight-kilometer time of 26:08 at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational on Oct. 4. It was the junior's fastest time of the season and just eight one-hundreths of a second shy of his school-record time of 26:00 — set at last year's Jim Drews Invitational. … Haley, who recorded his second straight individual SMU No-Limit Invitational title on Sept. 27, has finished as the team leader in all three of the events he's run in this season. … Along with Haley's 26:08 at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational, the Cardinal men also got a 27:23 from
Jase Pater (Adrian, Minn.) and a 27:58 from
John Soucheray (Woodbury, Minn.), while
Jovan Newsum (Glendale Heights, Ill. / 28:04) and
Alex Davis (Champaign, Ill. / 28:53) rounded out SMU's top five. …
