WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's soccer team returns to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday, as the Cardinals host Saint Benedict in a 2 p.m. game at Ochrymowycz Field.

Saint Mary's finished 5-2-0 in its seven non-MIAC contests this year. … Saint Mary's 1-0 win vs. UW-La Crosse marked the sixth time in their last seven contests that the game has been decided by one goal or less. … The Cardinals' win over UW-La Crosse Wednesday improved Saint Mary's to 3-1-1 in its five overtime games this season. … The Cardinals' tie against Gustavus on Oct. 1 was their first deadlock since October 2, 2010, when Saint Mary's tied Concordia 0-0. … Emily Loof recorded her team-leading 12th goal of the season against UW-La Crosse Wednesday. Halling recorded her first collegiate shutout against UW-Superior on Sept. 6. … Victoria Perez (Upland, Calif.) collected her first collegiate win in goal against Buena Vista on Oct. 7, stopping three of the four shots she faced. … Perez enters Saturday's conference game against Saint Benedict boasting a 1.95 goals-against-average and .700 save percentage, while Halling—who leads the team with 48 saves—owns a 2.16 GAA and a .706 save percentage. … Saint Mary's seven-goal outburst vs. Bethany Lutheran on Sept. 23 marked the second time this season the Cardinals have netted seven goals in a game. Saturday's game against Saint Mary's is the final road game of the regular season for the Blazers, who close out with home games against St. Catherine and Concordia. … Last Saturday's 3-0 loss to Augsburg snapped the Blazers' three-game winning streak. … CSB's last nine games have all been decided by shutouts. The Blazers are 7-2 in those nine contests. … Saint Benedict has allowed just one goal in its 12 wins this season-that coming in a 3-1 victory over Loras on Sept. 14.
