Recap Saint Mary's vs. Augsburg — Their Last Meeting:September 18, 2013: It was no secret heading into its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference-opener against Augsburg — for Saint Mary's to be successful, the Cardinals had to find a way to shut down the Auggies' Olivia Muyres. After all, Muyres had already scored nine goals in Augsburg's first seven games — including three multiple-goal outings. Unfortunately, the Cardinals found out first-hand what the Auggies' first seven opponents already knew — Muyres is awfully tough to stop. Muyres scored two goals, as the Auggies pushed their unbeaten streak to eight straight with a 4-1 conference win over the Cardinals Wednesday at Ochrymowycz Field. |
