LAKE CITY, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's golf team is back on the links this weekend, heading to The Jewel to take part in the 36-hole D3 Classic, hosted by Carleton College.

Saint Mary's at D3 Classic—Their Last Appearance:
• September 17-18, 2016 * Lake City, Minn.: Heading into the 2016 season, Kaitlin Kling (LeRoy, Minn.) had not recorded a round lower than 81 in her collegiate career. Sunday afternoon, the Saint Mary's junior carded her fourth sub-81 round, firing a seven-over-par 79 in leading the Cardinal women's golf team to a 16th place finish at the D3 Classic. Kling, who opened the two-day tournament with an 80 to finish with a 159 36-hiole total, has posted her first three collegiate rounds in the 70s this season, tallying a pair of 79s and a career-best 77. Kaitlin Kling (LeRoy, Minn.) continued to lead the way for the Cardinals in their second tournament of the season, shooting rounds of 82-86—168 at the Wartburg Invitational last weekend. … With her opening-round 82, Kling has shot 82 or better in three of her four competitive rounds. … Kling's season-best 79 during the second round of the season-opening Saint Benedict Invitational was two shots shy of her collegiate best. … Kling's 161 total (82-79) at the season-opening Saint Benedict Invitational was just two shots shy of her 36-hole school record.
