ST. PETER, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota baseball team is back in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday, as the Cardinals square off against Macalester in a 2:30 p.m. doubleheader played at Gustavus' Gustie Field due to poor playing conditions on the Scots' home field.

• April 22, 2017 * Winona, Minn.: Bob Kinne (St. Paul, Minn.) delivered a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh, scoring Joe Seegers (Oconomowoc, Wis.), and giving the Cardinals a 4-3, come-from-behind win over the Scots in the opener of their conference DH at Max Molock Field. There would be no walk-off in the nightcap, however, as Macalester erupted for seven runs in the fourth inning and the Cardinals never recovered in falling to the Scots 13-2 | Recap

• After 19 straight road games, the Cardinals finally opened their home season at Max Molock Field Monday against Carleton. … With their sweep of Carleton Monday—their second straight doubleheader sweep—the Cardinals pushed their winning streak to five straight. … Eli Morison (Minneapolis, Minn.) recorded his first collegiate complete game in leading Saint Mary's to a 3-1 win in the opener against Carleton Monday.
