WINONA, Minn. — It's Monday morning, and time to take one final look back at all the Cardinal highlights from a week ago — by the numbers.

1: The Cardinal women's hockey team's 2-2 tie against fourth-ranked Gustavus last Friday was their first overtime game of the season. It was also the third straight year in which Saint Mary's and GAC played to an overtime draw — the Cardinals and Gusties tied 1-1 in each of the last two seasons.

1, 2: Last Wednesday's 79-77 double-overtime loss to St. Catherine was the Cardinal women's basketball team's first overtime game of the season, and first since a two-point, 69-67 setback on Jan. 31, 2018 — also against St. Catherine. Saint Mary's had not played a double-overtime game since beating Bethel 73-69 on Jan. 24, 2009.

1 + 1: Tommy Stang (Mendota Heights, Minn.) and Ryan Stoynich (Calgary, Alberta) each had a goal and an assist in the Saint Mary's men's hockey team's 5-4 OT win over Gustavus last Friday.

2, 4: With their 69-54 win over Concordia last Saturday, the Saint Mary's men's basketball team has now won two straight and four of its first five games this season.

2, 3, 5, 7: Brooke Shefchik (Stevens Point, Wis.) put together four program Top 10 performances at last weekend's Rochester Invitational. Her 5:33.91 in the 500 freestyle ranks No. 2 all time, while her 400 IM time of 5:05.49 is third. She also added the fifth-fastest time in the 1,650 freestyle (19:21.58) and the seventh-fastest in the 1,000 freestyle (11:42.50).

3: The Cardinal men's track and field team recorded three Top 5 performances at the indoor season-opening Minnesota State-Mankato Invitational last Saturday. Tyler Amy (Chatfield, Minn.) uncorked a throw of 13.82 meters to place fourth in the shot put, while Sean Curran (Appleton, Wis.) — make his collegiate debut — added a fourth in the weight throw (14.10m), and Christian Beamer (Two Harbors, Minn.) delivered a fifth-place leap of 1.95m in the high jump.

3: The Saint Mary's women's hockey team's three goals against fourth-ranked Gustavus last weekend came from three different players. Sophia Zebro (Oak Grove, Minn.) and Lauryn Folker (Cody, Wyo.) netted the Cardinals two goals in last Friday's 2-2 overtime tie, while Courtney Moser (Blaine, Minn.) netted Saint Mary's lone goal in the 5-1 loss the following day.

3: The Saint Mary's men's hockey team's 5-4 win over Gustavus last Saturday was its third overtime game of the season. Saint Mary's is 2-0-1 in those three OT contests — the Cardinals opened the season with a 3-3 tie against Lake Forest on Nov. 1 and added a 3-2 win over Concordia on Nov. 15 before last Friday's 5-4 victory vs. Gustavus.

5: Eli Cave (St. Paul, Minn.) scored a team-high 15 points in the Cardinal men's basketball team's 69-54 win over Concordia last Saturday and has now led the team in scoring in all five of their games this season.

5: With his overtime game-winner in the Saint Mary's men's hockey team's 5-4 win over Gustavus last Friday, Kyle Meeh (Fenton, Mo.) — who leads the team with five goals — has now recorded at least one point in five of the sixth games he's played in this season.

10: The Saint Mary's women's basketball team netted a season-high 10 3-pointers in last Saturday's 76-71 conference loss to Concordia.

11 + 10 = 2: Raheem Anthony (Chicago, Ill.) picked up his second straight double-double in the Cardinal men's basketball team's 69-54 win over Concordia last Saturday, scoring 11 points and adding 10 rebounds. Anthony now owns both of the Cardinals' double-doubles this season.

15 + 8 = 1: Ewelina Schlomann (New Berlin, Wis.) posted career-highs with 15 points and eight rebounds in the Cardinal women's basketball team's 79-77 double-overtime loss to St. Catherine last Wednesday.

18 x 2: Brooklyn Paulson (Holmen, Wis.) and Shayley Vesel (Austin, Minn.) each scored a team-high 18 points in the Cardinal women's basketball team's 79-77 double-overtime loss to St. Catherine last Wednesday. Vesel scored nine of her 18 points in the first half, while Paulson netted 17 of her 18 in the third quarter and both overtimes.

19 x 2: Brennen McClay (Shakopee, Minn.) and Casey Hanson (Grand Rapids, Minn.) each posted 19th-place finishes to lead the Saint Mary's men's swim team at last weekend's Rochester Invitational. McClay, who posted a preliminary time of 49.19 — the eighth fastest in program history — to earn a spot in the finals of the 100 freestyle, stopped the clock in 49.25 to place 19th, while Hanson, coming off a 2:27.61 in the 200 backstroke prelims, came back in the finals to record a time of 2:26.00 to finish 19th.

28: Shayley Vesel (Austin, Minn.) scored a career-high 28 points in the Cardinal women's basketball team's 76-71 loss to Concordia last Wednesday. The effort was three points better than her previous career best, and the highest individual single-game total since Alexa Huisman poured in 32 against Hamline on Jan. 20, 2018.

40: The Saint Mary's men's and women's swim teams posted 40 season-bests during last weekend's Rochester Invitational — including 11 program Top 10 showing and 11 lifetime bests.

44: Ary Ziakas (Palatine, Ill.) recorded a career-high 44 saves — including 19 in the third period — in the Cardinal women's hockey team's 2-2 overtime tie against No. 4-ranked Gustavus last Friday.
