Saint Mary's enters its doubleheader against Macalester sitting at 10-5 in conference as part of a 16-8 overall record. … The Cardinals will take a four-game winning streak into their matchup with Macalester. SMU has won nine of its last 10 — including three straight victories against Concordia last weekend. … SMU had its season-high five-game winning streak snapped with last Thursday's 3-2, Game 1 loss to Saint John's. … Justin Weinberg (Eagan, Minn.) and Tyler O'Brien (Belle Plaine, Minn.) each had three-hit games against Concordia last Saturday — Weinberg's was his team-leading third of the season, while O'Brien's was the first of his collegiate career. … Will Matthews (Geneva, Ill.) and Liam Belleveau (Middleton, Wis.) hit home run in the Cardinals' 11-1 win over Concordia last Sunday. It was Matthews' fourth of his career, while Belleveau's was his first. Macalester comes into its doubleheader against Saint Mary's boasting a 5-8 overall and conference record, including a pair of wins in the final two games of its three-game MIAC series against Hamline last weekend. The Scots dropped a 5-2 decision to the Pipers in the first game of their series last Saturday, before earning a split with a 7-5 victory, before adding a 9-8 in Sunday's final game of the three-game series. … Kenny Rodriguez owns a team-best .370 batting average, with Michael Moreno (.351) and Lian Lincoln (.333) also hitting above .300. … The Scots boast five players with 10 or more hits through 12 games — Moreno (13), Lincoln (12), Matt Odom (12), Rodriguez (10), Joe Margolis (10), and Jack Sahargun (10). … Rodriguez and Margolis share the team lead in runs scored with 10, while Moreno is the team-leader in RBIs (11), total bases (23), slugging percentage (.622), and on-base percentage (.468). … The Scots have banged out 37 extra-base hits — including 27 doubles, one triple, and nine home runs. … Andrew Polk (1-1, 5.00 ERA) has tossed a team-leading 18.0 innings, while Ty Benz (2-1, 5.02 ERA) is closed behind with 14.1 IP. … Alec Deegan (1-1, 20.48 ERA) and Jake Greenberg (0-0, 0.00 ERA) have made a team-high four pitching appearances, while Polk and Deegan share the top spot with 12 strikeouts each. … Polk has tossed Macalester's lone complete game, a nine-inning, four-hit gem in Macalester's 5-2 win over Bethel on April 11. … Macalester has scored seven or more runs in four of its five wins — incuding a season-high 19-run outburst in outscoring Augsburg 19-16 on April 2.
