  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals enter their road contest at St. Catherine unbeaten in their last three games (2-0-1) and boast a 2-1-1 overall record. … Thursday's game at St. Catherine is Saint Mary's fourth straight road game. … Jordyn Matthews (Seattle, Wash.) has scored the Cardinals' last two goals — netting the game-winner five minutes into overtime in a 2-1 win over Concordia on April 17, before scoring the game-tying goal with 17 seconds remaining in regulation in last Sunday's 1-1 tie at Saint Benedict. … All three of the Cardinals' games in their current three-game unbeaten streak have been decided by one goal or less. Along with the 2-1 win over Concordia and 1-1 tie vs. Saint Benedict, Saint Mary's also notched a 1-0 win over Augsburg on April 11. … Along with Matthews' two goals, Kassie Arriaga (Chula Vista, Calif.) and Mary Loy (Burien, Wash.) have also scored for the Cardinals this season. … Matthews has had a hand in three of the team's four goals this season — adding an assist to her two goals for a team-leading five points. … With her two goals and assist this season, Matthews — who led the team with 15 goals a year ago — has recorded 38 career points in her first 22 games as a Cardinal. … Emily Schaffer (Hampton, Minn.) picked up assists on both SMU goals against Concordia on April 17, giving the sophomore her first collegiate two-assist game. … Matthews leads the tema in shots (11) and shots on goal (5). … Alexis Nguyen (West Corvina, Calif.) stopped all three shots she faced in the Cardinals' 1-0 win over Augsburg on April 18 en route to her first collegiate win and her first collegiate shutout. It was the second straight game in which Nguyen made three saves. Nguyen has started all four games in goal for the Cardinals, compiling a 1.46 goals-against-average and a .600 save percentage.   ST. CATHERINE WILDCATS SCOUTING REPORT
St. Catherine heads into Thursday's matchup boasting a perfect 2-0-0 record — having beaten Concordia and St. Olaf this season. Both SCU wins have been by 2-1 decisions. … Thursday's game against Saint Mary's will be the first home game of the season for SCU, which played at Concordia and at St. Olaf in its first two contests. SCU will close out its season with a second straight home game on Sunday, hosting Saint Benedict. … Lauren Witte has accounted for two of St. Catherine's four goals this season, scoring once in each game. Sofia Campbell and Amora Valencia has netted SCU's other two goals. … The goals by Campbell and Valencia accounted for St. Catherine's two game-winning goals. … The Wildcats' four assists this season have come from four different players — Witte, Amanda Elton, Rachael Holm, and Taylor Johnson. … Campbell leads the team in both shots (8) and shots on goal (6). … Kate Praetz has started both games in goal for the Wildcats, compiling a 0.53 goals-against-average and an .833 save percentage.
