• 2 x 2: The Saint Mary’s volleyball team boasted two players who recorded double-doubles against both Buena Vista and Concordia last week. Ciarra McNally (Lewiston, Minn.) picked up her 12th double-double of the season, posting 16 kills and 15 digs, while Larkin Clem (Elk River, Minn.) collected her third double-double with 18 assists and 15 digs vs. the Beavers. Three days later, Clem delivered a 15-assist, 10-dig effort and Abbie Stigler (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) added 12 kills and 12 digs in SMU’s 3-0 conference loss to Concordia.
• 2 + 2 = 2: The Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team picked up a pair of wins last weekend, scoring two goals in beating both Bethel (2-1) and UW-Stevens Point (2-0).
• 3: Caroline Gearin was the SMU women’s cross country team’s top finisher for the third straight race, breaking the tape with a six-kilometer time of 25:51.7 — one-tenth of a second off her collegiate best time — at last Saturday's Drews/Neubauer Invitational.
• 3: Ciarra McNally (Lewiston, Minn.) and Abbie Stigler (Menomonee, Wis.) both recorded kill-dig double-doubles — McNally with 25 kills and 11 digs and Stigler with 17 kills and 14 digs — while Mandy Schmidt (Mitchell, S.D.) collected an assist-dig double-double with 24 assists and 10 digs in the Cardinal volleyball team’s 3-2 loss to Saint Benedict last Friday.
• 4: The Cardinal volleyball team honored their four graduating seniors — Elise Amerongen (Lake Elmo, Minn.), Mandy Schmidt (Mitchell, S.D.), Larkin Clem (Elk River, Minn.), and Braidyn Ruetten (Holmen, Wis.) — prior to Friday’s conference matchup against Saint Benedict.
• 5: For the fifth time in as many races, Granton Schneider led the way for the Saint Mary's men's cross country team at last Saturday’s UW-La Crosse Drews/Neubauer Invitational, posting an 8-kilometer time of 26:14.3 — placing him 10th among runners from the MIAC and 53rd overall in the field of more than 420 runners.
• 7: The Saint Mary’s men’s soccer teams’ 1-0 loss to Bethel last Saturday marked the seventh game this season decided by one goal or less.
• 8: Making her second collegiate start, Anna Peckosh (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) stopped all eight shots she faced in recording her first career shutout in the Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team’s 2-0 win over UW-Stevens Point last Sunday.
• 8: Daniel Sessler (Brookfield, Ill.) made eight saves in the SMU men’s soccer team’s 1-0 loss to Bethel last Saturday. Sessler has recorded 91 saves in the Cardinals’ first 14 games.
• 15: Larkin Clem (Elk River, Minn.) recorded a career-high 15 digs in the Cardinal volleyball team’s 3-1 nonconference loss to Buena Vista last Wednesday.
• 32: Peyton Berg (Chatfield, Minn.) finished with a career-best 32 digs in the Saint Mary’s volleyball team’s 3-2 loss to Saint Benedict last Friday. Berg has recorded 10 or more digs in 11 straight matches, and 17 times overall this season.
