• 3: Caroline Gearin (Osceola, Wis.) posted a third-place mark of 3.50 meters in the pole vault to lead the way for the Saint Mary’s women’s track and field team at last Saturday’s Washington University Invitational.
• 3 x 2: Casen Fritz (Minnesota City, Minn.) and Samantha Kubes (New Prague, Minn.) led the Cardinal track and field teams’ charge last Friday, kicking off the Washington University Invitational with third-place finishes in the hammer throw. Fritz uncorked a toss of 45.02 meters for the SMU men, while Kubes paced the Cardinal women with a mark of 44.00 meters.
• 4: The Saint Mary’s baseball team scored all four of its runs in the fifth inning in last Monday’s 9-4 nonconference loss to UW-La Crosse. It marked the second time this season the Cardinals have scored four runs in an inning.
• 4.05: Aiden Gatz (Elburn, Ill.) cleared 4.05 meters to place fourth in the pole vault to pace the SMU men’s track and field team at last Saturday’s Washington University Invitational.
• 5 x 1: The Cardinals’ five hits in last Monday’s 9-4 loss to UW-La Crosse came from five different players — Brandon Merfeld (La Crosse, Wis.), Cameron Weber (Holmen, Wis.), Travon VanEgtern (La Crosse, Wis.), Riley Bauman (Stratford, Wis.), and Tanner Bauman (Willmar, Minn.).
