SAINT MARY’S SCOUTING REPORT:
• FOR THE RECORD: The Cardinals head into their conference doubleheader against Concordia sitting at 19-15 through 34 games, while boasting a 12-6 mark in conference play.
• LAST TIME OUT: The Cardinals put an end to their five-game losing streak in convincing fashion last Friday against St. Scholastica, riding the complete-game performance of Addison Hochevar (Lake Geneva, Wis.) to a 2-0 win in Game 1, before completing the MIAC sweep with a 7-3 win in the nightcap.
• PLAYOFF PICTURE: The Cardinals head into Monday’s regular-season finale against Concordia sitting second in the conference standings at 12-6. SMU must win one game against the Cobbers to secure a berth in the four-team, double-elimination MIAC Playoffs, while a sweep of CC will earn the Cardinals the tournament’s No. 2 seed. Two losses, however, allows Gustavus to join St. Olaf, Bethel, and Saint John’s in the playoff field, and leaves SMU on the outside looking in.
• ROAD WARRIORS: The Cardinals closed out the home portion of its schedule with last Friday’s sweep of St. Scholastica. The two wins over CSS improved SMU to 10-3 on its home turf, while the Cardinals take a 9-12 road record into Monday’s showdown at Concordia.

• STREAK-SNAPPER; The Cardinals had their season-high six-game winning streak ended with their 14-4, Game 2 loss to Macalester on April 6. … SMU’s 2-0 Game 1 win over St. Scholastica last Saturday snapped its season-high five-game losing streak.
