WINONA, Minn. – The Cardinals Cross Country team traveled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for a unique race at night in which the Cardinal men's had a four-mile race and placed 26
th and the women's ran a five-mile race and placed 20
th.

The Cardinals held their own as they competed against big name schools such as Nebraska and South Dakota State in which a few Cardinals had stayed with some of the top runners at those division one schools.

Isaiah Fitzgerald, ran a team best of 20:41 after not competing in this race a year ago. Teammate
Sean Symth rallied after Fitzgerald with a time of 21 flat, beating his time at the opener last year by over a minute.

Gabe Schonknechtwith a well-paced time of 22:27.

Freshman
Mya Slavin debuts her best time with a pace of 19:11 to capture the best time for the Cardinals women's team.

Kendra Schneider had the second best time on the team with 21:06 and right behind her
Megan Frosch with a time of 21:23, both of which beat their times at the invite last year.
Abbie Meyer posts a time of 22:07.
