LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Saint Mary's women's track and field team had three athletes compete in last-chance qualifiers Friday as they look to secure a spot at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships.

Mya Slavin continued her push for a national berth, breaking her own school record in the mile for the second straight week. Slavin clocked a time of 4:49.65 to finish eighth at the meet, improving on the record she set just a week ago. She currently ranks 44th in the nation in the event.

Samantha Munson and Zari Young were the other Cardinals competing in hopes of earning a trip to the national stage.

Young, who ranks 22nd nationally in the 55-meter dash with a season-best time of 7.66, ran a 7.87 on Friday. Her earlier mark still keeps her in strong contention for a national qualifying spot.

Munson competed in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 25.74. Her season-best time of 25.04, set at the conference championships, remains her top performance and currently places her 44th nationally.

The Cardinals will now await the official national selections to determine if any will advance to the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.

Selections will be announced Sunday, March 8 at 7 p.m. ET on NCAA.com. The 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place March 13–14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
