Buerkle hit .600 in leading the Cardinal baseball team in its two conference doubleheaders against Concordia and Bethel last week.

The sophomore went 9-for-15 with a pair of doubles, two home runs, five RBIs and four runs scored. Buerkle also walked twice, owned a .647 on-base percentage and boasted a 1.133 slugging percentage.

Buerkle enters the Cardinals' final two games of the season riding a 13-game hitting streak. Has has had a hit in 34 of the team's 36 games, while also reaching base safely in all but one of the team's 36 contests.
