WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's soccer team, coming off a seven-day layoff following last Sunday's 2-1 nonconference win over Ripon at Ochrymowycz Field, return to action against UW-River Falls in another non-MIAC contest on their home turf.

SMU Cardinal Notes: Last Sunday's 2-1 win over Ripon snapped a pair of two-game streaks for the Cardinals, who ended a two-game winless and two-game scoreless drought. … Amy Sibik (Onalaska, Wis.) had a part in both SMU goals vs. the Red Hawks last Sunday, assisting on the first and scoring the second. … The first-half goal was Sibik's team-leading 11th of the season, moving her within one of the career-high 12 goals she scored in 2007. The three points, meanwhile, give her a team-best 26, tying her freshman year career-high. … Sibik, who also led the team in scoring in her first two seasons, now has 31 career goals — ranking her seventh all time, six goals behind No. 6 Barb Bock. … SMU GK Mariana Sanchez (Puebla, Mexico), who finished with 10 saves against Concordia last Saturday and added five saves vs. the Red Hawks on Sunday, has now stopped 61 of the 67 shots she's faced this year.
