ST. PAUL, Minn. — After back-to-back home games, the Saint Mary's University men's basketball team hits the road for its third game in five days on Wednesday, as the Cardinals travel to Hamline for a 7:30 p.m. Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game against the Pipers.

Last Action: Carleton used a 14-2 run to end the first half and never looked back in handing the Cardinals an 80-63 conference setback at the SMU Gym on Monday. Hamline, meanwhile, evened its MIAC record at 3-3 with a 72-70 road win over Bethel Monday.

A Year Ago: The Cardinals picked up a pair of conference wins over the Pipers in the teams' two meetings during the 2008-09 season.

January 7, 2009: SMU used a quick-strike attack to open the second half — scoring eight of the first 10 points to open a 49-40 advantage — en route to an 80-72 conference win at the SMU Gym.

February 11, 2009: Bradley Bruno scored a career-high 23 points and led five Cardinals in double figures, as SMU rolled to an 84-74 conference win over the Pipers in St. Paul, Minn.

With his team-leading 18 points Monday, Will Wright (Chicago, Ill.) has now scored in double figures in 51 of his 56 collegiate games. … Wright has also led the team in scoring in each of the Cardinals' last five games. … Wright's 18 points vs. the Knigths give the Cardinal junior 1,076 career points, moving him into 21st place all-time in SMU career scoring. … Lukas Holland (La Crosse, Wis.), who extended his consecutive games started streak to 57 vs. Carleton Monday, finished with 14 points vs. the Knights. … Tim Kunkel (Northfield, Ill.) equaled his season high with a team-best seven rebounds vs. the Knights.
