Last Action: The Cardinals got 20 points from Will Wright (Chicago, Ill.) and 14 points and 11 rebounds from Chris Palmer (Faribault, Minn.), but it was not enough, as Carleton raced out to a 13-point halftime deficit and never looked back in beating SMU 80-60 in Northfield, Minn., last Wednesday. Hamline, meanwhile, closed to within one-half game of Gustavus for second place in the conference standings with a 66-63 home victory over the Gusties Saturday in St. Paul, Minn.

Last Meeting — January 6, 2010: The Cardinals boasted three players scoring in double figures, but the trio's combined 40 points weren't enough to overcome an ice-cold first-half shooting performance, as the Pipers handed SMU a 93-57 setback at Hutton Arena in St. Paul, Minn.
