PAUL, Minn. — After kicking off its home schedule with a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference split against St. Olaf on Thursday, the Saint Mary's University fastpitch softball team is back on the road on Saturday, traveling to Macalester for a 1 p.m. conference doubleheader against the Scots.

The Cardinals rebounded from a disappointing 10-4 Game 1 loss to St. Olaf on Thursday, getting an RBI infield single from Hanna Schmitt (Rosemount, Minn.) in the bottom of the sixth inning en route to a 3-2 win in the nightcap at SMU Field. Macalester, meanwhile, is also coming off a home Thursday split, falling to Carleton 4-2 in the opener of their conference DH, before bouncing back with a 10-2 victory in Game 2.
