FARGO, N.D. — Concordia headed into Saturday's game against the Saint Mary's University women's soccer team having not played in a week.

Unfortunately for the Cardinals, the Cobbers in general — and Elizabeth Robinson in particular — showed now signs of rust, as CC scored a pair of first-half goals 18 seconds apart and never looked back in handing SMU a 3-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference setback at Fargo Shanley High School.

Robinson accounted for all three of the Cobbers' goals — opening the scoring at 20:22 of the first half, then added her second tally 18 seconds later to give CC a 2-0 lead heading into the halftime break.

And the junior forward was back to her quick-striking tricks in the second half, scoring just 25 seconds after the intermission to push the Cobbers' lead to 3-0.

Miranda Halling (Rochester, Minn.) finished with nine saves in goal for the Cardinals, while CC goalkeeper Elizabeth Bitzan stopped both SMU shots in recording the shutout.

The Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday, as SMU steps out of conference play for a 7 p.m. contest against Loras at Ochrymowycz Field.
