WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University fastpitch softball team concludes a three-doubleheaders-in-three-days weekend on Sunday, as SMU honors its five graduating seniors on Senior Day against Macalester. First pitch in the MIAC twinbill is set for 1 p.m.

April 22, 2012: For the third straight doubleheader — and second day in a row — the Cardinals' first game of their conference twinbill went into extra innings. And, for the third straight opener, the extra-inning result did not go their way. Macalester put together some late-inning magic of its own, plating four runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat the Cardinals 5-4. SMU bounced back with a convincing 6-0 victory to earn the conference split in St. Paul, Minn.
