CLERMONT, Fla. — The Saint Mary's University fastpitch softball team eagerly left Minnesota — and its snow and cold — Saturday and headed for the warmer climate that Florida had to offer.
Unfortunately, the Cardinals may have been able to outrun the snow and cold, but they couldn't escape the rain — which forced the postponement of SMU's nonconference games against DeSales and 24th-ranked Coe.
The Cardinals will now return to action on Friday, when they play Cornell (Iowa) and Webster in the final two games of their spring trip.
