WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University fastpitch softball team returns to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Monday, as the Cardinals host Gustavus in a doubleheader at the Saint Mary's Field. First pitch is slated for 2:30 p.m.

• Monday's DH against Gustavus is the Cardinals' second straight home doubleheader. … Last Thursday's 8-7 Game 1 loss to Bethel was the Cardinals' ninth one-run game of the season. … Five of the Cardinals' eight losses have been by one run—including a 10-inning, 8-7 loss to Saint Vincent College and a 5-4 setback against sixth-ranked Trine. … Stanzy Snyder (Johnston, Iowa) went 3-for-4, while Alex Raske (Chicago, Ill.), Allie Borawski (Stickney, Ill.), and Mariah Harper (Schaumburg, Ill.) all had two hits in the opener vs. Bethel last Thursday.
