Kaitlin Kling (LeRoy, Minn.) and
Madison Gately (Glenview, Ill.) were good for the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's golf team during the opening round of the Wartburg Spring Invitational.
And in Sunday's second round, the Cardinal duo was even better.
Kling knocked off three strokes from her team-best 93 on Saturday, shooting a second-round 90 to place 19th overall, while Gately shaved six shots off her Day 1 98, carding a 92 to finish 22nd.
Emily Vlahos (Orland Park, Ill. / 112-115),
Tiarra Thompson (Jonesboro, Ga. / 122-125), and
Sarah Munns (White Bear Lake, Minn. / 124-141) rounded out the Saint Mary's lineup
Wartburg won the event with a 36-hole 638 total, seven shots better than runner-up UW-Eau Claire. Grinnell (705), Buena Vista (821) and Saint Mary's (847) completed the five-team field.
