DECORAH, Iowa — The Saint Mary's University women's golf team shaved a shot off its opening-round 368 during Sunday's final round of the Luther Invitational, placing fourth with a 735 36-hole total.

Jessica Massimo (Kenosha, Wis.) put together a second-round 86 to go with Saturday's 87 to finish with a 173 total and a seventh-place individual finish.
Madyson Ulrey (North Manchester, Minn.) chipped in a second-round 90 for a 185 total, followed by
Celeste Van Klein (Lake City, Minn. / 93-92—185),
Dani Stevens (Delano, Minn. / 93-99 / 192), and
Cassie Sepp (Duluth, Minn. / 109-109 / 218).

Host Luther won the team title with a 667 (332-335) total, with UW-La Crosse (334-362—696), St. Scholastica (365-349—714), and Saint Mary's (368-367—735).

Luther's Morgan Kranz won medalist honors after shooting rounds of 77-79—156 for a seven-shot win over UW-La Crosse's Maija Tanberg (77-86—163). Luther's Kelly Schultz was third (80-85—165), while Hannah Johnson of St. Scholastica (91-76—167) and Luther's Sydney Maule (85-84—169) rounded out the top five.

The Cardinals close out the fall portion of their schedule next Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, taking part in the 54-hole Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, played at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn.
