Haley Jung (Monticello, Minn.) picked up right where she left off in the fall.
Jung, who carded rounds of 91, 89 and 88 during the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships last October, recorded a team-leading 90 to pace the Cardinals' in their dual against Luther on Thursday.
Along with Jung's third-place 90, the Cardinals—who fell to the Norse 351-387—also got a 91 from
Madison Gately (Glenview, Ill.), while
Kaitlin Kling (LeRoy, Minn.) chipped in a 95.
Tiarra Thompson (Jonesboro, Ga. / 109), Dana Tesa (Hometown, Ill. / 122), and
Emily Vlahos (Orland Park, Ill. / 124) rounded out the Saint Mary's lineup.
Sam Kraft fired a medalist round of 83 to pace the Norse, finishing two shots in front of teammate Madeline Petelin.
