Kaitlin Kling (LeRoy, Minn.) and
Madison Gately (Glenview, Ill.) led the way for the Cardinals at the season-ending MIAC Championships. Kling carded a team-best 261 (88-85-88), while Gately was close behind at 264 (85-85-94). … With her 88-85-88 showing at the MIAC Championships, Kling shot 88 or better in 10 of her 11 competitive rounds this season—including a career-best 83 at the Wartburg Invitational on Sept. 9. … Kling's 83 was two shots better than her previous career-low round of 85—shot during both rounds of the Saint Benedict Invitational on Sept. 5-6, as well as during the 2014 D3 Classic. … Kling closed out her sophomore year as the team's scoring leader with an 86.73 scoring average, while Gately was second at 89.50. … The back-to-back 85s in the first two rounds of the MIAC Championships were career-lows for Gately. …
Haley Jung (Monticello, Minn.) recorded career-best rounds of 83 and 81 to lead the Cardinals to a second-place showing at the Luther Invitational on Sept. 25-26. … Jung's second-round 81 was the Cardinals' lowest round of the season, and the best performance since Gia Puch fired a seven-over 79 during the opening round of the 2009 MIAC Championships. …
Paula Avila (Weslaco, Texas ) recorded a career-best 93 during the first round of the MIAC Championships on Oct. 2. Avila also put together four consecutive rounds of 95 this season. … As a team, the Cardinals finished with a 367.5 scoring average, which ranks No. 2 all-time in program history. … Saint Mary's recorded a 348 team score during the second round of the Luther Invitational on Sept. 10—it was just two shots off the school-record 346 posted at the 2006 Wartburg Invitational. … The Cardinals' 701 (353-348) at the Luther Invitational was a two-round school record, eclipsing the old mark by seven strokes.
